She breezes through life,
And all she has to say,
Is that life seems to be so long,
But there doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day.
She thinks back on all of the times,
That she laughed with old friends,
But now all she can think of,
Is how their friendships never lasted till the end.
She sits at home quietly,
Wondering and watching the outside world,
Envious of everyone else is she,
For the freedom they have that should have been hers too.
She knows life must be appreciated,
For not many are like her,
She knows God gave her life,
And challenges should never be a bother.
Yet, she is confused,
She wants to run away,
She doesn't know what she's doing wrong,
Because she's just doing things her way.
She wants to grow up,
Although she's just a kid at heart,
In the end, she'll be free,
And she'll no longer be torn apart.
Till then, she hides in the dark, hoping for a miracle,
She knows God is listening,
But He's telling her "Patience!",
As long as she keeps her faith in Him,
It is but freedom that comes at last.
And all she has to say,
