Just came back from Japanese for lunch! Hahah, decided to have sashimi after Yee Jin suggested raw fish. Ordered the set that had salmon sashimi and tempura. Yummy. Okay la, I know it's no big deal compared to Xin Yi, Wei Gin, Elaine and Suet Ling's trip to Japan. Hmmphh.
So ate as usual. And there were some bits of meat left by the time we were done so we decided to bring it back for our little wolf waiting at home. ; ) Yeah, so I suggested getting a plastic bag but my smart dad said we should just use tissue paper. So fine. After a messy messy ordeal of wrapping the bits of meat in layers and layers of tissue paper, what was left was a big ball of tissue paper stained with brown spots of sauce. Yuck. Thank you Daddy. So I put the big ball of tissue paper on the table. o.o
Okay, so this Cambodian waitress comes along to clear our table. And yes this has something to do with my Dad again. Wahahaha.
Dad : Je-su-te-neh!
*Je-su-te-neh is the Bangladeshi word for "thank you".
Waitress : *smiles sheepishly and clearly has no clue as to what he's saying*
Me : Daaaaaaaaddd, she's Cambodian laaaaaaaa.
Ken Xhen : *smiles and looks on*
*Waitress leaves with the tray of our used bowls and dishes.*
Me : *picks up fruits with fork and starts eating*
Me : Ehhhh, what happened to the food for Benzz??
Dad : o.o
Ken Xhen : o.o
Dad : Haih, what to do. Nevermind laa.
Me : Ah, see la. Je-su-te-neh somemore la. Food also take away dy.
Ken Xhen : Hahahhaaha, no, he je-su-te-neh until never concentrate and let the waitress take the food away.
Me : Hahahhahaha!
Okay, I know it seems kinda lame here but my brother and I couldn't stop laughing even when we reached the car and got in. Hahah.

She is laughing all the way in the car with her little brother. Her father sitting in front and driving doesn't seem to get it but he probably knows that it is him that made both his children laugh. He probably feels some kind of satisfaction in the knowledge of being able to make them laugh too. After all, it is his duty as a father.
Suddenly realizing those things about her father, she feels a sudden affection for her father. And she realizes too that she was actually enjoying the momentary joy and silly laughing and joking with her family.
And all at once, she is attacked by wonder, feeling and even more realization. She is already 16 years old but at the same time, she is too young and she knows way too much. Too much for a mere 16-year-old to have known. Too much for a mere 16-year-old to have seen. Too much for a mere 16-year-old to have gone through. And she misses old times. She misses the times when she was still young and innocent. Playing silly little games on the Internet and laughing over nothing but silly little things everyday of her life. Enjoying the simple kiddy things that she used to do like playing chase games with her friends without having the burden of knowledge that she now carries upon her shoulders.
She realizes yet again.
She'd give anything to return and go back in time to naivety. Time can have her knowledge, for she'd rather be freed of it.
